SledFest 2012 - April 13th-15th
Coming to you from Sandpoint in Northern Idaho is Sledfest. There are some major changes and big things coming to this event in its fifth year!
Born from a dream of Jeff York's in 08', Sledfest has grown to be the LARGEST and most EXCLUSIVE Snocross, Hillcross, Freestyle, Hilldrag, and Snow Bike event in the Northwest! Schweitzer Mountain Resort is the premier location of this event each year and has proven to be the perfect venue. Racers, spectators, and vendors have had nothing but good things to say to date about the venue, and this year looks to be even more exciting.
Like stated before there are some changes this year. For the first time to date, and for many years to come, Sledfest will be the venue for all the regular events of the past and now the RMSHA circuit is coming our way! The RMSHA Hiilclimb points championship has combined with Sledfest this year, allowing hundreds of RMSHA pro riders to enter to race along with many more semi-pro and amateur entries. So the three day event looks to be busier than ever.
Friday the 13th, will be the initial qualifying for all of the RMSHA races along with setup for the vendors and sponsors. The course will be setup prior to the show, so racing will begin early at 8 am and conclude around 5 pm. Saturday is the big day with all the RMSHA finals. Racing again will begin at 8 am, but will include a mix of all the local events that are not RMSHA related. This includes but is not limited to the Snowcross, Hillcross, Freestyle, Hilldrag, and Snow Bike racing. With racing lasting late into the day, there will be a trophy reception following the conclusion of the RMSHA finals where the presentations will be made for the overall champions of the race season. Following the trophy handouts there will be live music, drinks and food lasting into the night. Sunday racing will conclude, starting at 10am and ending when the racing finishes.
As a spectator you can expect to have quite the weekend. Bring the whole family out with you as this is a family event. There will be vendors, sponsors, riders, and athletes on hand to even further the enjoyment. If you have any questions or concerns please refer to the contact info listed below.
Lodging is available both in Sandpoint and on the Mountain. Schweitzer Mountain Resort is the host hotel and is offering up discounts if you mention Sledfest. Two other good places to stay are in downtown Sandpoint at either the Holiday Inn Express or the Quality Inn. Tickets will be available at the main entrance ticket window located in the lodge at Schweitzer Mountain Resort each day of the event. Saturday will be $15.00 and Sunday $10.00, or you can purchase a full weekend pass for $20.00. There will also be free parking all weekend for all spectators along with adequate trailer parking for all racers.

EDIT: Because of the RMSHA event Sledfest is now Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The costs are not yet known for the Friday portion, but Friday will be the qualifying runs for Saturdays Finals.
